The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis, is recruiting a Sleep Medicine Neurologist for a full-time faculty position.
The position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or the Clinical Neurology series. The academic rank of the position is commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications of the applicant.
Faculty members provide outpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents, and fellows; and provide university/public service. Outpatient clinic includes a mix of new and follow up patients with dedicated days to read polysomnography’s/home sleep tests.
The sleep program at UCDH includes an AASM-accredited sleep lab and an ACGME sleep fellowship program. Patient care is provided for all types of sleep-disorders in a multi-disciplinary setting.
For the HSCP series, an emphasis is placed on clinical service and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For the Clinical Neurology series, the position also requires participation in clinical trials, translational, and collaborative research. Opportunities for teaching include supervision of sleep fellows and neurology residents.

Requirements
MD or DO degree
California medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of California
Experience in and the ability to teach medical students, neurology and medical residents and fellows
Board certified/eligible in Sleep Medicine and board certified in Neurology
